Q. How long will it take? What about driving or walking on the surface?
A. Spray Decking or stamped overlays are normally completed in less than a week. Crack repairs need 24 hours to dry before the skim coat can be applied. Once applied skim takes 24 hours to dry. The final product requires 2 coats of paint, each requiring 24 hours to dry. You will be able to walk on your surface the day after the final painting.
Q. Do you remove concrete or do I have to?
A. All concrete or other debris removed by us will be hauled away by Florida Concrete.
Q - How long will the pattern last?
A. The pattern is a permanent feature of the driveway or patio and will last for the life of the area.
Q. What is In-Crete Spray Decking?
A.
Spray-Decking concrete texturing system is a beautiful, high performance
and highly modified
cement product which is applied to old or new concrete and masonry
surfaces.
Q. How is the surface prepared?
A. First, if there are cracks, the cracks are repaired using the best crack repair that we have found, a 2 part epoxy system. Then the surface will be pressure washed, acid washed, and skimmed to prepare for the spray or stamped overlay.
Q. What about the weather?
A. The textured concrete coating system has been especially formulated to handle expansion and contraction conditions which occurs in all parts of the country.
Q. Is In-Crete a replacement of concrete?
A. It is not intended to replace concrete as a structural material. It’s intended to be used as a decorative textured coating of concrete.
Q. What happens if the In-Crete is applied and then the concrete slab cracks?
A. Existing cracks that were repaired may not show through, though new cracks may eventually show through. We do our best to repair cracks, but there are no guarantees that cracks will not resurface.
Q. Can In-Crete Spray Decking be repaired?
A.
Yes, it is easy to repair, make necessary crack repairs and then
re-shoot the surface in a
texture pattern. If a tile pattern is installed, grind down the tile,
fix the crack, re-shoot or
re-trowel the tile design.
Q. Can this product be applied to new concrete?
A. New concrete must cure for at least seven (7) days prior to the acid wash and installation.
